Types of Electrical Tests

Electrical testing isn’t always about testing equipment, giving it the all clear and updating the tag and report. There is so much more that can be done, especially in and around a commercial environment. So RCD’s are extremely important and by law are installed on all buildings as part of the power system. Commercial RCD’s are inspected and tested yearly.

Earth Fault Loop Impedance Testing

This test is to make sure that fault detections within a circuit are successful. When there is a fault detected then the circuit breakers are activated. This means that when everything is working properly, a fault will trigger the power to be shut down.
